About
Michael Kügeler
In 1987, I encountered a creative problem that led me down an unexpected path.
At the end of my studies at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, I found myself immersed in the tedious process of creating folded hardboard objects. The calculations were laborious, and the geometry was complex. I met friends who were conducting research in a computer graphics laboratory. They introduced me to CAD (computer-aided design). CAD allowed me to simplify my workflow. The prospect of combining art and technology became fascinating. My entire workflow transformed.
I delved deeper into the technology and the concepts behind it. My entry into the computer world had begun. I started out as a designer at architectural firms. After a couple of years, I transitioned to software development, telecommunications, and IT consulting.
My interests in art, literature, and history became an underlying layer of my passion for IT. Over time, I collected ideas and fragments in notebooks.
I hope to find the time someday to transform these notes into stories (fictional or nonfiction), products, or visual art.
